Washington DC Trip – 4/20/2009

Ok, well, we’ve finally made it to Day 5!  This is the day we came home.  But first, after checking out of the hotel, we headed to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home.  Thankfully, we had a beautiful, DRY, few days……until today!  I’m glad we were only here for a few hours.

The Marine Memorial – we drove by this on our way to the airport.  Those who wanted a picture could get out in the rain and take one.

B1 was so lucky, he got to sit by his momma on the way home!  Doesn’t he look excited!!!

This trip was such a blessing to get to go on.  I’ve never liked history, but seeing all those monuments and walking where our founding fathers walked was really cool.  I hope this experience really helps these 8th graders.  Maybe they’ll really appreciate this trip in about 10-20 years.

Well, this wraps up the trip!  We had a wonderful time, but are glad to be home!  Thanks to my mom and grandma for coming to stay with B2 and K.  We really appreciate it!  Dad, thanks for letting mom come.

End of Day 5
THE END OF OUR TRIP TO DC
