First Day at CTCS

Today was our first day of school at Central Texas Christian School. In some ways, it felt like this day would never get here! It’s been a long, hurry-up-and-wait summer…. then school was postponed for a week. But, today was the day! I think we are all glad to have this mindstone under our belts. The kids all said they had a good day. Yay!

Briley had to be at football practice by 7:15am! So, here he is getting ready to leave. Because of football, I wasn’t able to take a picture of him in his nice chapel uniform.

Blaine has football practice at the end of the day, so I got a picture of him all dressed up!

Kenzie didn’t have to dress out for volleyball practice, so I was able to get a picture of her in her chapel uniform, also.

Now, their schedules are all different, so I can’t get a group picture. I feel fortunate that I  am able to get a picture at all! My kids know how I am, so they just smile and get it over with.

The kids are growing up way too fast! It seems like it was just last year that we were taking “first day of school” pictures at TCA. But, with 6 years at TCA and 4 years at BCS, we now find ourselves on a new adventure.  We are excited to be at CTCS and are looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Verses for our kids during this time:
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1:9-12

“We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.” 2 Thessalonians 1:3
